How to Apply

Find a position that sounds appealing to you right here on this page. The links will bring you directly to the My AmeriCorps portal, where you will be able to begin the application process. There are a few main steps that you will go through before being officially selected for a position:

My AmeriCorps Application
AmeriCorps applicants must complete an online application that includes a motivational statement (short essay) and two written professional references. Apply online at

Initial Contact
If your application seems like it could be a good fit for a CCNH VISTA position, you will be contacted by the VISTA Leader or the Project Coordinator. You will set up a time to discuss the basics of service. After a successful phone screening, we will contact the host site that you applied to and let them know that you are interested in the position.

Interview & Selection
It is now up to the host site to set up an interview where you will meet to discuss your qualifications for the specific VISTA position. If you are offered the position, the VISTA program will conduct a background check, and then you will officially be placed. We will work with you to determine a start date, and after you enroll in a Virtual Member Orientation, your VISTA year will begin!
